A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.

Growing up we always had the half hour rule, we had to play with a present for 30 mins before we were allowed to open another. We were told it was so we appreciated each gift we were given. Only as adults was it finally admitted that it was to keep us entertained through the day. So in answer to the question… All day :)

Ours is quite a long process as we go to Nana and Grandpa’s on Christmas Day after church and open some then. Then we go to Nan’s on Boxing Day and open more then. Then if anything is left it gets done in the evening once the children are in bed!

We wake up open the presents that santa left , then after dinner we open the rest from under the tree from family and friends then on boxing day its xmas again as the whole family goes to mam and dads and as its the only time we are all together we open them all from each other x

This is the first year that we won’t be travelling to relatives for Christmas, so we are about to start our own family Christmas traditions. I have decided to create a ‘night before Christmas’ box, so my little ones will each have one present to open as part of that. Then on Christmas morning, we are going to open the gifts in the Christmas stockings. Finally, after lunch, all presents can be opened! Can not wait!!!

As a child we always used to unwrap close family presents after breakfast and the rest (uncles and aunts) after Christmas lunch. However I don’t see my son and family until Boxing Day and as they are ALWAYS late it is lunch first and presents later!

With my mother in law, its Night time Christmas eve as she is German, and On Christmas day in my own house with my family its Christmas Morning, so we are very lucky as it feels like we have two Christmas”s and not just the one.

In my family, we were taught to wait until after christmas dinner at 2pm.
I never knew any different until I married my husband..he was shocked we had to wait so long! haha!

When I was young it was morning and after lunch if relatives arrived with more prezies. Now I all grown up and not excited about it I’m trying all morning to find the excitement instead of opening presents. So it ends up afternoon/ evening because I even have a scout around for some excitement after lunch. :)

My hubbie works shifts so we sometimes open ones from mummy and daddy the night before and then ones from Santa on Christmas day depending on what shift he is on. Big up the shift workers this Christmas!!
