Review: John Frieda Full Repair
Hair.
I have quite a lot of it.
Very a lot, actually. It’s thick, heavy, long… and doesn’t need to much looking after.
I actually put this down to the fact that I ignore it, mostly. I wash it. I dry it. I put it up. And repeat.
But over time, even my careless treatment starts to show.
If it’s not cut frequently enough (too easy to be lazy when your hair is long), or it’s dried too quickly (or not dried at all and just spun into a knot and abandoned for the day), it starts to look dull, flat and uncared for (which is fair enough, seeing as it is).
So when I was sent some of this John Frieda Full Repair I admit I was a bit… sniffy. It’s shampoo, right? How much can it do?
Well, I’m nothing if not thorough, so naturally I tried it out.
It smells… good. Delicious, in fact. Almost fruity, bit not quite.
It foams mahoosively. Seriously – you so not need much of this stuff. I was rinsing for ages the first time I used my usual dollop.
And when the hair is dried?
I didn’t believe it. John Frieda had given me Big Hair.
The buggers.
Controlling that in a knot of neatness was no mean feat, I can tell you.
But I’ve kind of got used to it. I’m enjoying the Big Hair thing. It’s shiny and bouncy and very full of itself. Top marks – it would appear there’s quite a lot a shampoo can do after all…
