Easter Eggs – what’s your choice?
Once upon a time in our house it used to be that a fluffy bunny toy or a small bucket with a few tiny chocolate eggs was all that was needed to make Easter Sunday top-filled with joy for very small people. Sadly, those very small people taint not so small any more. In fact, they’re teen-sized, and their chocolate-love has grown exponentially.
So our Easter Egg buying has by necessity expanded a little (I miss those toddlers y’know)…
Thankfully, Mr Tesco took this into account, and has added some lovely deals on to ease the pain of buying eggs this year…
The three boys will be snaffling up a good sized egg thanks to the 3 for £10 deal (watch this – the eggs all vary in size and there’s nothing worse than a great big box with very little chocolate inside it. We eventually got the Twirl eggs for them, which at 325g gave them a really big egg plus three bars as well. We rarely buy them sweets/chocolate, so any traditional main brand confectionery is a big treat!)
The 6yr old, whose appetite is not so big as she’d like to think it is for the brown stuff will adore this very cute little ‘Me To You’ Tatty Teddy egg – more bear than egg, perfect for her.
For the husband I went for one of the new Chokablok eggs (the American Dreamcake, actually) – a bit more grown-up, a lot more chocolate, and will make him very happy.
Then it’ll just be a basket of small eggs for the egg hunt, and naturally the golden prize of a Lindt bunny each nestling in the flower beds. No egg hunt would be complete without that, would it? And bonus – Lindt 50g bunnies are two for £2 at the mo. 
You do need to get your skates on though – I know they’ve been in the shops since Christmas, but I guarantee that come the weekend, when you actually *need* to buy one, there’ll be none left.
