I was browsing the cottage sites, as you do (well, as I do… I have a shortlist of amazing £2000-a-night gems that I’ll go stay in One Day), when I spotted this lovely little place in Cornwall is still available for half term! I know!
Laburnham Cottage is a cosy, beautifully refurbished 300-year old character cottage in the hamlet of Trewint, only a mile away from Altarnun, one of the most beautiful villages in Cornwall.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms (one double, one twin), has an open fire (not that you’ll need it in May, we hope!), broadband/wifi, takes a dog and is located so centrally that the whole of Cornwall is easily accessible and waiting for you to explore it.
Best of all, it’s still available for half term! Fancy a last-minute getaway to Cornwall? Of course you do.
Seven nights in Laburnham Cottage from Fri 27 May – Fri 3 Jun is just £752, available on Sykes Cottages now.
Top Tip on Cottage Searching – if you’re looking last minute, then be the least fussy that you can. Do a generic search like this one on Sykes – just put in your absolute basic necessities of dates, how many to sleep and yes/no to pets. Leave your locations blank, and see what comes up – there are bargains to be had, and if you’re open to new places you never know where you might end up. It’s all an adventure!
