It’s an odd thing – as a child I hated slippers with a deep loathing. If my feet were chilly, I resorted happily to socks – the thicker and fluffier the better. but slippers?
UGH. No.
All the way through my teens and twenties I stuck to my guns – slippers were bad bad ugly things.
But then I got given a pair for Christmas, and I politely had to wear them.
What a revelation!
My feet were WARM. Nay, they were snug as bug-things.
And my irrational loathing swung inside out, and a new passionate love affair of slippers had begun.
