I keep a close eye on Boden’s clearance section – and lookety-look what I’ve just spotted for you. All these Boden dresses on SALE, reduced, by up to 60%! I LOVE these dresses, and if you’re quick they’re still available in a whole range of fabrics and sizes…

I’m a bit of a thrifty shopper, preferring to buy classically styled items that will last rather than operating on a new-season-new-wardobe principle. If I pick carefully, I know the bargains I can nab at the end of a season will work brilliantly for next year when they’re from a classically styled place like Boden.

This is my absolute favourite at the moment. I need it with a deep yearning. I love the retro 70’s-style shape. I love the ability to dress it up or down. I love that the sleeves make it practical on a chilly day and you’re good to go, from the office to the park to the pub. Made from jersey, it features that always-feelgood flippy skirt, while the fixed waist gives it an elegant twist.
And there’s still two different length fits to choose from (God love Boden and their long fit for us tall girls)

Buy buy buy. Nothing (and I do mean NOTHING) beats an easy to wear block colour in winter. And this one is in ponte – a heavier weight, drapey jersey.
This Boden classic A-line shape flares out at the waist (which you can cinch with the detachable belt) before falling just above the knee. Shoulder gathers give the long sleeves a puffed shape, while the notched neck is a neat finish.
And that winter berry colour is just… perfect.
