Book review: Jack Frost by Kazuno Kohara

I honestly didn’t think Pink would enjoy this. It was too… odd. Angular. Frosty, actually.  Not at all the soft, gorgeous imagery she usually chooses.

Shows what I know.

This book comes out again and again.

Happily.

Because I love it as much as Pink does.

The simply paper cut style illustration is beautiful, and far more evocative than I expected. Perfect, in fact, in a story of a world caught in the depths of icy winter.

A simple, enchanting tale of the wonder and beauty and freedom that Jack Frost brings – until the day The Boy sees a snowdrop.

Definitely one to add to your bookshelf. Jack Frost the paperback is £4.49 at Amazon at the moment.

Author: Laura

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
