Camp Bestival’s Coming – have you booked yet?

CAMP BESTIVAL’S FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY

Camp Bestival’s music line-up is already bursting with the untamed brilliance of headliners Underworld, Clean Bandit and Kaiser Chiefs, plus lots more guaranteed crowd-pleasers like Professor Green, Wretch 32, Kate Tempest, Bob Geldof and many more.

But just take a peek at all the incredible, wild and wonderful family fun that will be on offer at the festi-holiday jamboree this July 30th – August 2nd at Lulworth Castle on Dorset’s lush Jurassic coast.

Chief Wild Thing Rob da Bank says: “Camp Besti’s creative team have outdone themselves once again with an absolute truckload of wild and wonderful fun for all the family. From the brand new adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s brilliant Scarecrows’ Wedding, and hip-hop’s answer to ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’ with the Freestyle Funk Forum, to the hugely inspiring Gorilla Gardening and our old fave Marawa the Amazing, the Greatest Tent on Earth is certainly living up to its name. Add in Albert’s Band, Musical Bingo, Gospeloke and Morris Dancers, Blue Coats and the brilliant Insect Circus and you’ve got a recipe for a properly wild weekend! So we’ll be seeing you at Lulworth Castle in July”.

Back by popular demand for its second year, and hosted by the especially wild Ariel Free, The Greatest Tent on Earth will be brimming with eye-popping wonder, including a fantastic adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s book The Scarecrows’ Wedding, which will be making its festival premiere.
There’s jaw-dropping b-boy action with audience participation from the Freestyle Funk Forum, rhyme and repetition from Duck in a Truck, songs, puppetry and wildness with fantastic circus show The King of Tiny Things, a specially wild themed show from the ever amazing BRIT School, out of this world adventure from Misunderstood Monsters and tales of undercover floriculture with Gorilla Gardening.

There will also be shows from The Party, the marvellous Marawa the Amazing, Marawa’s Majorettes, West End Kids, Hype & Pavilion Danceathon, and Romeo and Juliet: Retold.

But the family fun doesn’t stop there! Over in The Big Top we’ll have the fabulous Royal Albert Hall presents Albert’s Band getting into the wildest spirit of things, tune-based high jinks courtesy of Musical Bingo, spine-tingling karaoke with a gospel choir from Gospeloke, the always-wonderful Funky Little Choir, and steelpan brilliance from Steelers.

And, as you wander round the stunning grounds of our magical castle by the sea, be sure to enjoy the myriad pleasures to be found, including Camp B faves The Insect Circus, madcap theatre from the Marvellous Imaginary Menagerie, breath-taking Carnival Parades, high energyDance Workshops, Igor Rasputin’s Caravan of Lost Souls, merry funsters The Blue Coats, and hardcore hot steppers, the Morris Dancers.

And finally, we could do with your help, too. We know The Gruffalo is out there somewhere, hidden amongst all the fun and games at Lulworth Castle but can you spot him? You’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to spot his terrible tusks and terrible claws and the terrible teeth in his terrible jaws! Fingers crossed we find him!ticketline_2015new(Tickets for Camp Bestival 2015 (July 30th to Aug 2nd) are on sale now)

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
