Wellies are one of those things I’ve never really given much thought too, to be honest. Small children love puddles – therefore they have to have wellies. It’s not hard. And all wellies are pretty much the same, are they not?
Well, actually, I am now educated to understand that no, they are not. I mean, yes, in basic terms, all wellies keep your feet dry.
But. Until I got these Spotty Otter wellies for Ella, I never really loved a pair before. But now I do. And so does she! These wellies are just gorgeous! First of all, the soft and flexible natural rubber is much more comfy for small soft feet, and not being synthetic rubber or PVC, they are much better at keeping small toes warm. The polka dot retro 50’s design is just charming, and the colour just makes me smile!
Oh, and they also come in their own PVC backpack – which not only fills Ella with happiness to wear (stuffed with her toy-of-the-day) but also is incredibly handy in the car at the end of a very muddy walk.
So, yes, maybe after all, some wellies really do have a little ‘more wellie’. :)
