Have you come across Lyst yet? I may be a bit of a slow mover, but it was new to me a couple of weeks ago – and now I’m a total addict! Lyst is fashion tech company based in London and New York, and their website is a shopping experience unique to every user. The more you use the platform, the more it learns about you and your shopping habits so you start to only see things you love.
I know – every shoppers dream, right?
In addition to making a tailored shopping experience, users can also ‘lyst’ items to plan their wardrobes, create wish lists and also be alerted when anything they lyst goes on sale or comes back in stock.
I will warn you though – it’s a bit addictive…
It’s that time of year when the sun starts to finally have some warmth in it, the Spring flowers begin to dazzle you with their gloriousness and all of a sudden you start to yearn for a little bright frippery in your wardrobe. It’s definitely time the flippy dress made their first appearances of the year, yes?
So to get you headed in the right direction (and not at all because I’ve just spent an immensely enjoyable hour immersed in the Lyst site) here’s my top picks for your Spring Dresses…
I adore this casual Floral Cage Detail dress from Liquorish. The scoop neckline is day-to-day practical, and the floral print just shouts that summer is coming. The black keeps it from feeling too summery – we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but it’s definitely a great pick for a warmer Spring day, the cage cut outs on the sleeves and skirt lifting it out of the ordinary zone.
plus of course it’s reduced from £70 down to just £11!
This navy & white Zip Panel Dress is actually from House of Holland’s AW15 ‘Uptown Urchins’ collection. But a classic navy/white stripe cotton simply screams sunshine, doesn’t it? The A-line shape is always a flatterer, and I can’t imagine this flexible dress not working every day. It also happens to have been reduced by 70%, down from £360 to just over £100…
Wolf & Whistle’s Midi Prom Dress In Botanical Floral Print has a fabulous silky-feeling woven fabric. It’s fully lined, has a V-neckline and V-back, too. It’s a fabulously happy print guaranteed to lift your mood – and really, what’s not to love about the £18 price tag?
From Jolie Moi this stunning 50’s polka & floral print fit & flare dress offers a stylish elegance. The classic slash neckline is teamed with a wide pleated skirt (complete with mesh underlayer) is fully lined with an exposed back zip fastening. Gorgeous at any price, but with 50% off? Yes please.
And the other thing that I have to thank Lyst for? Introducing me to new designers. Honestly – I’m aware I’m a know-nothing opposite to a fashionista, but the site has been an eye opener. Oh, Diane von Furstenberg how I’ve fallen for your dresses. And I love that Lyst ‘learns’ – the more I look and click and curate, the more of the things that I love it shows me. And I haven’t even delved into the hats and bags sections yet…
