If you read last month’s LittleStuff magazine (and if you didn’t, why didn’t you?) then you’ll have seen the new range of tableware from Fox & Ivy, Tesco’s own luxury interiors brand. We’ve been picking out our favourite pieces – and top of my list? Well, take a look at this jug.

Isn’t it perfect? Honestly, I love it. I’ve used it on the table for smart supper, I’ve used with a big bunch of daisies in it – it’s as lovely as a jug can be (and yes, I admit, I might have a bit of a thing for lovely jugs).

I’m absolutely loving the latest trend for simple plain ceramics – and this range from Fox & Ivy work perfectly. The unglazed border and irregular finish give it a rustic, vintage feel – and yet the gloriously high petrol-sheen of the glaze makes it feel special and far nicer than your average rustic pot.

Very importantly, I can confirm that it pours beautifully, and feels very balanced when full of liquid – we usually use it as a water jug on the table and it’s definitely not one of those pretty-but-how-do-I-pour-with-it useless jugs to sit on your shelf. This one begs to be used.

It’s part of the new Fox & Ivy ‘Arno-Paio’ range at Tesco – but never mind the rest of the range, it’s pretty enough all by itself. It’ll hold its own on any shelf or table.
