Okay – hands up who remembers wearing knitted pixie hat as a child? Yes, me too.

And you can see why we all did – simple, effective – and so darn CUTE!

So, on the first day of October, as the Autumnal chill really set in to the school run, I was determined to find something suitably yummy to keep the nippy wind from small ears  – and found this this gorgeous set from Carmelia Linens, which includes the mittens on the obligatory string (Oh how I HATED that babyish string as child. And swore I would never ever EVER demean my child with such a thing. And lo – look who solved the lost-mitten problem on her first toddler in quick-smart time with the string-through-the-sleeves method).
