Last week we ran a lively Twitter Q&A with Mark Roberts (@mr_englishteach ), author of the new “You can’t revise for GCSE English! Yes you can, and Mark Roberts shows you how”.
It was a really busy half an hour, with loads of questions and even more insightful help and sage advice from Mark.
In the book, Mark talks students through the most effective revision strategies for English Language: how to take notes, the most important quotes, how to plan essays, how to revise creative writing and much more.
There are loads of formulaic revision guides on the market telling you WHAT to revise. But this book is different. Using language and ideas that are accessible but levels of challenge to aim for the top grades, it focuses more on the HOW of English revision and practice.
Discover how to banish ineffective revision and use study skills that will help you to do brilliantly in your exams. You’ll come to understand what really successful students do to help them towards top grades in GCSE English
And we have some copies to give away! Even better, Collins are offering one lucky winner not just a copy of ‘You can’t revise for GCSE English!’, but also an achingly cool Fjällräven Kånken backpack, a total design classic worth £85! Five runner’s up will all win a copy of the book.
To be in with a chance to win, just answer the first four questions in the widget box below. There are more chances to win by completing the other entry options if you so wish – they’re entirely up to you! The closing date for this competition is 19th July 2020 and only entries received on or before that date can be included. The 1st prize will go to the first randomly chosen entry, and five further random winners will each receive a copy of the book. Good luck!
