Let’s start with a hands up:
Who loves camping?
Who hasn’t ever camped?
If your hand waved around for either of those, this is definitely the place for you. And if you hate camping you should stick around too, because this just might change your mind a little.
The thing is, camping can be so many things, to so many people. The last time we went with the kids (admittedly a few years ago now) we wild camped for two weeks in Yorkshire. This was our camp site:
Just us, our tent, a loo tent, and oh that view.
But if that’s your idea of absolute hell, that doesn’t mean camping’s not for you. You can go to the other extreme, and have electricity supplied to your luxurious fitted tent on a site that has a shop, restaurant, bar, entertainment – and plentiful hot showers. Camping is the ultimate in flexibility, and long gone are the days when a night under canvas meant hard ground and a thin sleeping bag. Actually, you’re not even under canvas any more…
But one thing remains no matter what your camping style is – that sense of freedom. That complete removal of the every day ties, and an exhilarating sense of letting go and embracing an adventure. It doesn’t matter if you’re not camping precariously half way up a mountain – whatever your camping comfort level is, simply sleeping under fabric instead of a solid construction feels wild and adventurous.
And there’s something about being in the outdoors that brings the family together – you start to enjoy the simple pleasures, and spend your evenings chatting and playing games together by lamplight. It’s time and space to reconnect, without the daily distractions of a normal busy family home.
And we’re absolutely, genuinely, thrilled to be working with Easy Camp; they’ve put together a Camping Gear Bundle, with over £750 of equipment to make sure you’ll at least get an excellent night’s sleep; here’s what you get…
- Hurricane 400 Tent – worth £530, it has fast pitching air technology (No POLES! Just air!), and the full standing height living area gives room to relax, cook and play, while the darkened bedroom provides comfy sleeping for up to four people.
- 4 x Easy Camp Moon Sleeping Bags (worth £34 each). Packed with features, the sleeping bag will keep you snug as a bug from late spring to early autumn.
- 4 x Easy Camp Self inflating Siesta Mats (£25 each) – These mattresses inflate themselves in a couple of minutes!
So – how to win this frankly brilliant camping starter kit? Easy peasy. Just answer the questions in the widget box below. There are more chances to win by completing the other entry options if you so wish – they’re entirely up to you! The closing date for this competition is midnight the 14th May 2019 and only entries received on or before that date can be included. The winners will be the first randomly chosen entry. Good luck!
